There’s no guarantee that the converted QB Chazz Surratt will leave North Carolina and head off to the NFL, but he’s certainly got the attention of talent evaluators with his play in 2019.

Surratt has been tremendous in his first season as a linebacker, showing off great range and instincts for the position even having only played it a short time.

The Broncos need a linebacker who can play fast and cover, and Surratt has that type of raw skillset.

Perhaps it doesn’t end up being this player, but the Broncos should look into investing a day three pick on a linebacker who has ‘unicorn’ type of skills where he can play all three downs but really excel when asked to cover either in zone or man-to-man.

Right now, Denver’s top linebackers are much better against the run than they are the pass, so getting a guy who can play in coverage is a must.

Surratt is a fun one right now with his athletic ability and raw skills.
