Phillip Lindsay

Second year back Phillip Lindsay has seen his opportunities often limited in 2019, mainly due to a floundering Broncos’ offense. This surely leads to some frustration, as it is certain that the young man is hungry to prove himself after a stellar rookie campaign in 2018.

However, this wasn’t the case on Sunday. Lindsay finished the day with 19 carries, 109 yards, and one touchdown. The offense proves to be much more efficient when Lindsay is given adequate carries; he was only given the ball seven times in the blowout loss to the Chiefs.

Coming into Week 17, Phillip Lindsay is just 42 yards shy of breaking 1,000 yards for the second consecutive season. What is even more impressive with that is that he will do it in the first two years he has been in the league. This undrafted free agent has been quite a diamond in the rough for the Denver Broncos, and will get one more try to break 1,000.
