With the final two picks I had in this mock draft, I took a couple of shots on players whose stock could continue to rise in the pre-draft process.

Baylor wide receiver Denzel Mims is a former track star whose speed has translated quite well to the football field. At 6-foot-3, he’s a big-bodied target who should probably go a lot higher than the sixth round, where he landed in this mock draft.

He has 27 touchdown catches over the last three seasons, including 11 this year for Baylor.

Lavert Hill was a player we heard a lot about coming out of last season as a possible top option at cornerback for this draft class.

He has played pretty well this season, picking off a career-high three passes and breaking up eight total. Hill doesn’t have the best size, but he could be a nice option to play up and around the line of scrimmage as a scrappy slot.

The Broncos have in-house options for next year, but I’d be more than happy to see them taking shots on defensive backs on day three like this, players who were productive in college with a lot of experience who could pick up the complicated Vic Fangio defense quickly.
