Trey Marshall, Aijah Holder, S

Although you may not have noticed Trey Marshall a ton this season, he’s been out there for the Broncos plenty, especially on special teams.

Known for his hard-hitting abilities a Florid State, we have not really seen anything from Marshall defensively, save for a few reps here and there sprinkled throughout the season.

With Kareem Jackson now suspended the final two games of the season, Marshall is stepping into the starting role at strong safety and Alijah Holder was called up off the practice squad, presumably to get some reps at that position as well.

The Broncos will have Will Parks playing the nickel and Duke Dawson playing the dime, but Marshall will undoubtedly be getting reps at safety and it will be fun to see how he and Justin Simmons are able to communicate on the back end.

Those two don’t have a ton of time together on the field.

Marshall really has a chance with this opportunity to prove he belongs on the roster beyond this season. We’ve yet to see him really make a splash play in Denver.
