Spoiler alert: This is the only defensive pick in this mock draft.

I put Blackmon in a previous mock draft as well and I really am liking his game more and more the more I see and read about him.

Although Blackmon has played (and excelled) as a safety this year for Utah’s very underrated defense, he played cornerback prior to this season and I love his versatility and ball skills.

He’s got four interceptions this year, nine for his career, and added two forced fumbles and four more pass breakups this season along with 60 total tackles.

He is able to play multiple positions and if the Broncos are unable to retain someone like Will Parks, this would be an ideal depth addition. Even if Parks comes back, the Broncos don’t have great depth on the back end behind Simmons and Jackson, and Blackmon could be someone who would potentially start for you or at least play significant snaps as a nickel/dime defensive back.
