Key Matchups

Courtland Sutton vs. Chiefs secondary

Courtland Sutton has been a solid member of the Denver Broncos offense this season. He has fallen a bit off the last few games. It will be tricky against the Kansas City Chiefs secondary who has done solid over the last few games.

If Noah Fant is unable to play on Sunday, Drew Lock might be looking towards Sutton quite a bit, which could allow him to get out of his mini slump.

Drew Lock vs. Chiefs front seven

The last time the Broncos and Chiefs faced off, the Kansas City front seven got to the quarterback nine times in the game. It was truly one of the worst performances by the offensive line this season.

The good thing is that Drew Lock can scramble, so if he needs to escape from the rush, he can do that. But the goal will be to get the football out before the pass rush can get to him. If he can keep his jersey clean and the running backs help out, it could be another good day for Lock.

X-Factor: Phillip Lindsay

The Denver Broncos will need to get the running game going to protect Drew Lock. That will mean the offensive line needs to open up some running games to feed Lindsay some rushing yards.

I cannot stress enough that a good running game will really help out the passing game. The only issue is that the offensive line is dealing with a lot of injuries. But hopefully Phillip Lindsay can get things going in the run offense.
