Colby Wadman

Although just his second year in the league, punter Colby Wadman may be looking for another job in 2020, and probably should be. It is no secret that the Broncos’ offense has been below mediocre much of the season, and Wadman has been utilized frequently; he is fourth in the league in punts kicked.

However, he is currently sitting at an average of 43.9 yards a punt, currently 30th in the league. Wadman did not need to be used much against the Texans, but when he was needed, he gave the Texans favorable field advantage. This included a 39 yard punt that virtually gave the Texans the ball right at midfield.

For a team that has needed to rely on punting so often, Wadman has not been good enough. It is definitely time for the Broncos to perhaps bring in some competition for Wadman, whether it be to replace him as a starter or to serve as fuel for Wadman to up his game.
