With the Denver Broncos entering the game against the Houston Texans as a solid underdog, they are playing like a dominate team in a surprising first half.

Are we sure the Denver Broncos’ record is correct? They sure are not playing like a 4-8 team. They are playing like they are going to the postseason. But all of that aside, this has been an incredible half.

The first drive for the Denver Broncos could not have been scripted any better. Some big time passes from Drew Lock has resulted in some big time passing yards. He has only missed on two passes in the first 30 minutes. And he currently has a perfect quarterback rating.

Hopefully this is the start of something big for the Missouri second round draft pick. I have been impressed. But it is not the offense that has been doing well. The defense has played some of its best football in a half as well.

One player in particular that has been all over the field is Kareem Jackson. This is his return to Houston since the Broncos signed him in free agency. And has he played like a force on the defensive side of the football.

He has recorded four significant plays on the Broncos defense, including a defensive touchdown and a huge pass break up hit on DeAndre Hopkins. It appears he has really enjoyed the homecoming.

And Shelby Harris made a huge play on fourth down as he deflected a Deshaun Watson pass to put the Broncos in a big spot. That would lead to another touchdown.

Denver currently has more the 24 points in a game! This is incredible at how well this team has played in the first half.

But it is not over yet. There is still another 30 minutes to play. Denver has struggled in the second half, not scoring many points. My hope is that narrative ends so that the Broncos can get a significant win on the road.

The Broncos will get the football to start the second half. Can they hold on to a big lead? I sure hope so. Let’s go Broncos!
