Brandon McManus, K

For much of this season, when relied on, kicker Brandon McManus has delivered. McManus was a perfect 3/3 on the day and 2/2 on extra points, including 2/2 on field goals from 50 yards out, where McManus has been kicking at about 50 percent on the season.

While the Denver Broncos have lost on last-second field goals on many occasions this season, it was Brandon McManus’s turn to be the hero of the day, kicking it right down the uprights from 53 yards out as time expired, giving the Broncos the victory. McManus accounted for 11 of the team’s 23 points on the day and has been the only consistent part of the Broncos’ offense this season.

To end the first half, Brandon McManus was visibly heated when Vic Fangio would not send the field goal unit out to attempt a 65 yarder, which would not only have sent the Broncos to the locker room with a more comfortable league but would have broken Matt Prater’s record for the longest kick in Denver by a yard.

Would McManus have made the kick? There’s no way of knowing. Should he have been given the opportunity? More than likely.
