Derek Wolfe, DE

Although the day would end in major disappointment for veteran DE Derek Wolfe, he hit a huge milestone in his career. Wolfe reached his all-time high season sack record today, recording his sixth and seventh sack today against Phillip Rivers. Wolfe is currently the team leader in sacks, although that may be short-lived as he left the game with an elbow injury, and head coach Vic Fangio is not too optimistic about the outcome.

It definitely was an unfair ending to what should have been such a special day for Wolfe. However, if you keep tabs on the Denver Broncos, you know Derek Wolfe is about as tough as they make him, and very rarely have injuries, although sustained fairly often, have kept him out for an extended period of time.

Wolfe is currently waiting on an MRI to determine the severity of the dislocated elbow, per Bleacher Report. However, Abigail Wolfe, wife of Derek Wolfe, is confident he will play next Sunday.

She posted on Instagram: “We out here celebrating my husband @derekwolfe_95 career-high sack record!” She continued on: “He hurt his elbow but I bet you our newborn child he will be playing the next game!!” (per Abigail Wolfe’s Instagram)
