Keenan Allen vs. Chris Harris Jr

This matchup is probably the #1 to watch for on Sunday, as it has been in the making since the Denver Broncos’ victory over the LA Chargers in Week 5, the Broncos’ first victory of the season. A rivalry between Allen and Harris began in that matchup, when CHJ limited Keenan Allen to just four receptions for 18 yards, a season low by far for Allen, who is averaging about 72 reception yards a game.

The rift began with CHJ’s post-game presser, when asked about how he was able to slow Keenan Allen down, he shared that he was sure the lack of yardage was frustrating to Allen.

While these comments were very unlikely to have been meant in a harmful way, Keenan Allen took the post-game presser to heart, and did some trash-talking on Harris, tweeting after the game that Harris can’t even “hold his jockstrap.” As you can imagine, this is quite an insult toward Harris, but Harris didn’t seem to take it to heart too much. Here was his response:

This matchup is sure to be an emotional one; Harris will be looking for a bounce-back performance after a rough few weeks, and Allen will be looking to make good on his word. Look for this matchup to add quite the theatrics to Sunday’s game.
