Fourth Round Selections

101st Overall – Ross Blacklock – IDL – TCU

Denver appears to have a diamond in the rough in Mike Purcell as the nose tackle for the team. But this selection could be all about getting some needed depth. The Broncos are not deep at this position, so Ross Blacklock could be an interesting selection here.

He has a great knack of stopping the run and has quite the speed coming from a defensive tackle. That speed allows him to get to the quarterback if he can. He could make the defense solid in spot starts.

128th Overall – Cole Van Lanen – OT – Wisconsin

Like I previously said for the Trey Adams pick, the Broncos could very well be looking to upgrade at both tackle positions. Lanen could become a backup lineman in case the team does have an injury. If he can find a way to help the quarterback’s blind spot when it comes to blocking, he will have plenty of success.
