Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller and former teammate DeMarcus Ware were named as finalists for the NFL’s All-Time team.

The Denver Broncos have had some phenomenal players in their history. Two of those players were rewarded on Monday.

Current outside linebacker Von Miller and former outside linebacker/defensive end DeMarcus Ware, who were both teammates with the Denver Broncos from 2014-2016, were announced as finalists for the NFL’s All-Time team on Monday.

Miller has been climbing the all-time sack list since joining the Broncos as the second-overall pick in the 2011 draft. He currently sits at 29th overall with 104 career quarterback takedowns.

Miller has been a force to be reckoned with. Every quarterback he faces has to know exactly where he is at all times. Last Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, Miller reached another cool achievement: Kirk Cousins, the Vikings quarterback became the 50th quarterback Miller has sacked in his career.

At 30-years old, Miller still has a shot at becoming one of the top-3 (at least) all-time in career sacks. The record is held by Bruce Smith, who finished his career with 200 sacks.

DeMarcus Ware joined the Denver Broncos a free agent in 2014. During his time in Denver, Ware recorded 21.5 of his 138.5 sacks.

Ware had some extraordinary seasons himself. From 2006-2012, he recorded double-digit sacks every single year, including a 20-sack season and a 19.5-sack season. That is absolutely insane.

Following the announcement of his inclusion as a finalist, Ware took to Twitter to give thanks.

In 2008, Sports Illustrated named him Defensive Player of the Year. This is a tremendous honor. Any time a player is recognized as one of the best of a specific year, or in this case, an all-time team, it just goes to show what type of impact they have had on the league.

Both Miller and Ware won Super Bowl 50 together back in February of 2016. It is a shame that the two defenders were not on the same team for a longer period of time. Just imagine how much damage the two could have made.

Congratulations to both Miller and Ware, as well as every other current and former players who make the list!
