The Defensive Line

It is true that when your defensive line struggles, your secondary likely will as well, and that was the case today. While the Broncos’ defense truly did not play a bad game overall for spending the entire day on the field and only allowing 20 points, Josh Allen and the Bills proved to be a poor matchup for the Broncos’ defensive line.

The defensive line missed a plethora of sack opportunities that would result in Josh Allen’s ability to break free to get the first with his feet, or to get the ball off to a receiver, like Cole Beasley, who would score a TD on a missed sack by the Broncos.

The run defensive also got gashed by the Bills, as they pounded the rock for 244 total rush yards on the day between the efforts of Devin Singletary and Frank Gore, who made history with his efforts today, becoming the third all time rusher. Overall, it was not a good day for the defensive line, who had looked so much better after their blunder versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.
