The Denver Broncos will reportedly be without Andy Janovich for the remainder of the 2019 season after he suffered an elbow injury.

Another week, more crushing blows to the Denver Broncos. During the team’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, the team lost fullback Andy Janovich to an elbow injury.

According to sources, Janovich will be out for the remainder of the season.

The injury to Janovich was a gruesome one. It looked to be one of those types of injuries where you’d be glad you didn’t see. That is what the commentators on the television broadcast said, and therefore did not show the replay of the injury.

Janovich missed the first portion of the 2019 season with a pectoral injury. His presence was greatly missed during that time and it is yet another big blow to the Denver Broncos offense.

The Denver Broncos signed Janovich to a three year contract extension earlier this year.

Fullback is not a position that is used by most teams across the NFL. The game has changed so much over the years and the fullback position has almost gone extinct.

The fullback position is especially important in the offense that the Denver Broncos are running, with Rich Scangarello as the team’s offensive coordinator. In San Francisco last season, Scangarello had Kyle Juszcyk as his fullback, which helped the 49ers rush for 1,902 yards as a team on 423 carries.

Next. Add one more heartbreak to the 2019 Denver Broncos season. dark

The Denver Broncos have run the football 65 times for 324 yards with Phillip Lindsay during the last five games—all of which Andy Janovich has played in.

This injury is just another blow to the Denver Broncos, who have lost some very close games this year.

The Broncos will now rely on the other  fullback on the roster, Andrew Beck. Beck has been with the Broncos since early September when the team claimed him off of waivers. He is in his rookie season.
