Is The Drew Lock Era Inching Closer?

Now that Drew Lock has been activated from Injured Reserve, much of Broncos Country is chomping at the bit to see what the young rookie can do. However, the wait is not over. We know that Brandon Allen will get the start Sunday, and it is likely that he will be the guy for most of the remainder of 2019.

It is unclear as to when we will see Lock this season if we do at all. While it feels imperative that the Broncos take a better look at him at some point this season for evaluation purposes, and to find out where they sit with the QB situation, it would also be hard to sit Allen if he plays well.

These next two weeks will be a huge test for Allen and may be a big indication as to how soon we could be seeing Drew Lock.

Has Kirk Cousins Changed His Narrative in Minnesota?

The Minnesota Vikings’ offense shined against the Dallas Cowboys on SNF and were in control the majority of the night. Cousins avoided any costly mistakes and actually played pretty well. It is no secret that Cousins did not live up to the lucrative contract he received from Minnesota in 2018, and many wondered how soon the Vikings may plan to dump him.

However, the Vikings are sitting at 7-3 and look to be a serious playoff contender. Former Broncos’ Super Bowl-winning coach Mike Shanahan has high praise for Cousins, saying that Cousins just needed the right weapons around him to succeed. Cousins’ turnover rate is low this year, with just three interceptions on the season thus far.

With Cousins beginning to steady his inconsistencies of the past, the Vikings look to be a deep threat in the NFC.
