Drew Lock

The ultimate trump card in this whole argument is Drew Lock.

The Broncos drafted Lock in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and traded up to do so.

Lock has tremendous talent and is now finally back at practice after spending the first 10 weeks of the season on injured reserve with a thumb injury he suffered in preseason play.

With Lock back at practice, it seems the Broncos are closing in on activating him and getting him some starts to see what Lock can offer going forward.

With Brandon Allen holding the fort down in the meantime, what need is there for Kaepernick? Would it be too much of a distraction?

Would his presence be a hindrance to Lock’s development?

If Kaepernick’s presence on the roster prevents the Broncos, in any way, from developing their future at the position, it should be taken off the table.
