Although the numbers haven’t quite been there for Davis the past couple of seasons following a banner sophomore campaign, the talent is undeniably there, and the trust from the Alabama coaching staff is still there.

Whether he’s playing the run or pass, Davis’ size (6-foot-7, 312 pounds) is typically too much for offensive linemen to handle and he plays with excellent technique and leverage.

The Broncos are possibly losing one or both of Derek Wolfe and Shelby Harris in free agency, and while they have some guys waiting in the wings, a player like Davis is a good fit for Vic Fangio’s scheme and can play a number of different positions up front, including that base defensive end spot on the right side.

He’s been considered a first-round player in the past, so getting him in round two would feel like a steal.
