The Denver Broncos — or any NFL team, for that matter — could put together an outstanding 2020 NFL Draft class with just Alabama and LSU players.

Whether you’re the Denver Broncos or any one of the other 31 teams in the NFL, if you had to put together a full draft class in 2020 of just Alabama and LSU athletes, you’d probably come away with one of the best classes in the entire league.

The talent coming out of Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge is always strong, but the 2020 NFL Draft is shaping up to be a rare group, even for these two schools, which are routinely putting guys in the top five, top 10, top 32 of the NFL Draft.

To celebrate Saturday’s LSU-Alabama rivalry game, I thought it would be a blast to look at a Broncos mock draft scenario (four rounds) in which John Elway and company would be limited to just Alabama and LSU players.

Considering the fact that Kareem Jackson (free agent) is the only player on the Broncos roster right now representing either school (Alabama), an infusion of these two schools is needed on the Denver Broncos, especially in the NFL Draft, right?

As fortune would have it for the Broncos, the players these teams are likely to send out line up quite well with Denver’s needs overall.

The Broncos have seven selections in the top four rounds of next year’s draft, and if all seven of them were Alabama and/or LSU players, as Brock Olivo once famously stated — “We’d be alright.”

Spoiler alert: The Broncos don’t get an Alabama or LSU player in that one, but they do get an Auburn Tiger.

For this mock draft, I’m using Dane Brugler’s (The Athletic) top prospects board, and the Broncos’ current draft order heading into week 10.
