5. More of this defense

One of the top things to look forward to after the bye week, Bryce Callahan or not?

This defense.

The Broncos have six starters on the defense age 27 or younger right now, including some breakout players and some familiar faces:

  • LB Alexander Johnson
  • CB Davontae Harris
  • NCB Duke Dawson
  • LB Todd Davis
  • S Justin Simmons
  • OLB Malik Reed

The combination of youth and veterans on this Denver defense have the team ranked in the top five in total yards, first downs allowed, passing yards allowed, and red zone defense. The Broncos also rank seventh in the NFL in third-down defense.

This defense is good, and they’re playing at a very high level without Bradley Chubb, two starting cornerbacks, and a number of in-season changes to the top of the depth chart.

I cannot wait to see more from all of these guys.
