3. QB Drew Lock should start practicing

Although the Broncos have been holding Drew Lock out much longer than they are actually required to at this point, we should be getting the exciting news of his return to practice as of next week against Minnesota.

The Broncos could have brought Lock back to practice in week 6, and he has been eligible to be activated since last week ahead of the Browns game.

Right now, it sounds like the Broncos are going to utilize the full three practice weeks they have with Lock if they are able to, and that is very frustrating to many Broncos fans.

With Joe Flacco on IR, the logical thing to do would be to get your quarterback of the future ready for reps as soon as possible, but the Broncos have been hesitant to say the least.

It doesn’t really make sense to me why they aren’t rushing him back to practice. If they wait longer than next week against Minnesota, the griping from the fans is not only going to be justified, it should be amped up until the Broncos come to their senses.

Lock is healthy. The starting QB is on IR. Even teams like the Bengals are getting longer looks at rookie quarterbacks. What are the Broncos doing? Get Lock back to practice and quit fooling around with this three-week timeline — who cares?

Get the kid ready to play and play him.
