The Denver Broncos may be 3-6, but the rest of the season should be a blast to evaluate. What do we have to look forward to after the bye?

The Denver Broncos are 3-6, but that’s not dampening our spirits.

In the Vance Joseph era, the Broncos appeared to be a team with no clear plan for the future, and they didn’t seem to be ‘great’ at any one thing.

Although the Broncos have maintained a tough defense now for the last five years, the Vance Joseph era (not entirely his fault, either) brought us the lowest of low points in recent Broncos history, at least since Josh McDaniels was fired in the middle of the 2010 season.

But the Broncos are not so far down in the dumps right now, despite being in last place in the AFC West. There has been a lot of good happening for this team lately.

  • The defense is playing at a very high level
  • Young players are emerging all around the roster
  • The Broncos are 3-2 in their last five games, one loss coming on a last-second FG
  • Renewed hopes of Chris Harris Jr. re-signing after 2019
  • Movement on the QB-of-the-future front

The Broncos are in the middle of their bye week right now, and players are taking some time off to re-set their bodies and minds, but coming off of a win against the Cleveland Browns at home, the optimism is once again high in Broncos Country that this team can make some noise in the second ‘half’ of their season.

If the defense continues to play well, the offense merely needs to be average for the Broncos to truly be competing in most games. We talked about the difference in this offense with Brandon Allen at QB versus Joe Flacco on the latest Knights of DEN podcast.

The Broncos may not have the right combination of talent and experience all over their roster — yet — to compete with the elite teams in the NFL, but there’s plenty for all of us to be looking forward to starting in week 11 when the Broncos prepare for a road trip to Minneapolis to take on the Vikings.

Let’s take a look at some of the top things many of you noted on Twitter you’re looking forward to seeing after the Broncos’ bye week is complete.
