Dre’Mont Jones, DL

Dre’Mont Jones hasn’t gotten a ton of play with the defense, but he’s played his fair share.

The third-round pick out of Ohio State has played more than a quarter of the Broncos defensive snaps this season (157 — 26.61 percent) and has proven himself to be quite an impactful player without really racking up stats.

Jones is doing anything he can to be productive on defense and special teams, getting some assists on sacks with nice rushes and other guys cleaning up, batting down a pass against the Colts, and blocking a field goal against the Los Angeles Chargers.

With three tackles, one QB hit, and one pass deflection, it would seem the numbers are really not there for Jones to receive a high grade, but he’s been an impactful player when he’s on the field, and the Broncos are trusting him with more and more snaps.

He makes at least one or two plays per game where I think to myself, Dre’Mont Jones doesn’t get enough credit for the good work he’s doing this season.

He gave Quenton Nelson all the former high first-rounder could handle when the Broncos played the Colts.

I want to see more of Jones down the stretch and hopefully, he can creep up toward DeMarcus Walker as the fourth-most utilized defensive lineman in this defense.

I would like to see Jones finish more plays with sacks or tackles for loss, but he’s doing a solid job impacting plays.

Overall grade: C+
