Diontae Spencer, WR

In the grand scheme of things, it didn’t have a harmful impact or cost the Broncos the game, but it is never good when the ball is turned over to the opposing team.

In the second quarter, receiver Diontae Spencer demonstrated poor ball-handling when the ball was stripped by Joe Schobert and recovered by Cleveland. Spencer failed to tuck the ball away securely, and the strip happened with ease.

Spencer has had limited opportunities at receiver and will learn from his mistakes, but this is a poor decision that could have proven to be costly, especially if it had resulted in a touchdown.

This also prevented what could have been another scoring drive from the Broncos, and could have put the game away at an earlier point in the fourth quarter.

While this didn’t end up costing the Denver Broncos, mistakes like that could plague the young receiver in the future if he does not work on his ball security.
