For the first time this season, the Denver Broncos never looked back after taking the lead and go into the bye with some momentum.

It appears it took playing a game against a team like the Cleveland Browns for the Denver Broncos to finally get something going on offense. While they were able to get wins against the Chargers and Titans, it appeared as if the Broncos could not get a consistent game going on offense.

That all changed on Sunday as the Denver Broncos played perhaps their best overall game of the 2019 season. The offense was in sync most of the game, the defense played well, and the team goes into the bye with some good momentum.

For only the third time this season, the Denver Broncos were able to score 20 points or more. Brandon Allen played well in his first NFL start. He threw for two touchdowns on 12 of 20 completions for 193 yards.

Phillip Lindsay nearly had 100 yards rushing on the game as he was able to get some big time runs, including a touchdown run of 30 yards. But the biggest star of the game was the rookie tight end Noah Fant.

Denver has been looking to get some production from the tight end position for a long time. While there is still a lot we need to see from Fant, his three receptions for 115 yards and touchdown showed Broncos Country that we could finally have the tight end playmaker that we have been looking for.

Denver’s defense also came up in big time moments. Derek Wolfe and Justin Hollins each recorded a sack and the team was able to come up with two big stops on fourth down as the game was getting close.

Now Denver will get a week to rest before they begin a tough second half schedule that starts with a road game against the Minnesota Vikings. But the win sure does help. Go Broncos!
