Denver Broncos 2020 mock draft: Having fun with a ton of picks
Draft Recap // Analysis
- Derrick Brown, DL, Auburn
- Prince Tega Wanogho, OT, Auburn
- Darnay Holmes, CB, UCLA
- DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama
- Jack Driscoll, OT, Auburn
- Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Missouri
- Zach Shackelford, C, Texas
This draft class would give you a super-stud interior defensive lineman, a new starting left tackle, a possible starting CB, a possible WR2, a swing OT/IOL, a secondary receiving threat at TE, and a possible developmental starting center.
The 2020 draft class seems to fit well with what the Broncos need, especially looking at early wide receivers and offensive linemen.
It’s a bit thinner on the back end as far as defensive linemen are concerned, and I think at this point, we have to assume the Broncos are going to work hard to get Chris Harris Jr. back to somewhat lessen the need for an early cornerback in this class.
With that said, Darnay Holmes is a weapon in the secondary and on special teams, so I liked this scenario overall with him in it.
You could easily replace the Holmes pick with another position, maybe even another defensive lineman. I think this mock draft’s focus on the trenches can really help the Broncos get back to winning at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
