Alabama’s stud wide receiver trio of Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs, and DeVonta Smith have all been productive in 2019, but Smith has posted some truly massive performances in the shadows of two guys who are slightly superior prospects.

Smith has a slighter frame, but he’s got big-time speed and can make plays after the catch. He does an excellent job tracking the ball downfield and has great vision in the open field.

Although he’s been overshadowed by those other guys, Smith is a very good prospect in his own right and could help add some exciting playmaking ability to the Broncos’ offense with Emmanuel Sanders now off to greener pastures.

We haven’t quite seen the breakthrough from DaeSean Hamilton, and who knows if we’ll get it? Juwann Winfree has the potential to be a fun WR3 or WR4, and if Tim Patrick can stay healthy, he can be a WR2 for the Broncos. I’m just not sold that the pieces are all in place at WR right now.

Smith has some star qualities to him. He’d add some much-needed speed to the receiver position.
