Treat No. 2: Unexpected emergences

With injuries to key players, the Denver Broncos needed to rely on some players who normally would not see the field. There have been quite a few that have surprised. Before his injury, De’Vante Bausby was playing on a whole other level next to Chris Harris Jr. Mike Purcell has been a solid nose tackle in the running game, when the team is on the ball against opposing running backs.

But perhaps the biggest surprise of them all is Malik Reed and Alex Johnson. Reed shined in the preseason and has continued that in limited numbers in the regular season. The hope is that he can continue and get even better as the season goes on.

As for Alex Johnson, he can be the answer the Denver Broncos need at the inside linebacker position. If he is capable, then it would be quite the story. I hope he has a lot of success as an inside linebacker for the Broncos.
