Royce Freeman, RB

Royce Freeman being on the stock up may not make sense to many — just hear me out.

40 rush yards in the contest does not seem like an impressive stat. It really isn’t when it comes down to it. In fact, Freeman did not lead the team in rushing yards on the day. Phillip Lindsay finished with 59 yards. Also not much, but more than Freeman.

However, there is one important factor- Royce Freeman was the only Bronco to get into the end zone on the day. This feels like a huge accomplishment, given the Broncos’ offensive woes as of late.

Freeman punched the ball in on a four-yard rush on a Broncos’ red zone drive that would prove to be successful. It is only Freeman’s second TD of the season, but so far, Freeman along with Lindsay have proven to be a nice 1-2 punch for the Broncos.

Freeman does not possess the speed that his counterpart in Phillip Lindsay has, but is the physical, bowling-ball back that takes a lot of man-power to bring down.
