Another tough loss to swallow last week. Last-second field goals have decided three games for Denver so far this season, and it’s kind of getting old.

However, I like the idea of a shake up in the team. It’s unfortunate that it’s at the cost of Joe Flacco, but I’m intrigued to see how Brandon Allen will perform at quarterback for the Denver Broncos.

I actually have a good feeling about this one. Baker Mayfield and the Browns have been struggling and Denver is a difficult place to play. This should be a close game, but I think the Broncos will pull out a win.

The Denver Broncos are still finding ways to win games and even though the Cleveland Browns are struggling offensively this is not a team to take lightly.

Baker Mayfield is a more than capable quarterback in the NFL and is still talented. He still has wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry in the passing game. This will be the first time Denver has played a team with two reviving weapons.

The secondary is playing well despite the recent injuries in the third level of the defense during the season.

With Mayfield as a gunslinger, Denver must find ways to create turnovers. They must also capitalize on the opportunity to score when they get the ball.

One of the best ways to win is points off turnovers. Hopefully they can do that.

Still….

At 2-6, the Denver Broncos are in a tough spot and just are not playing well. Perhaps a game against a Cleveland Browns team that is in a similar situation is what the doctor ordered.

This is the best chance for this team to get back on track. There has not been a lot of success on both sides, and I can see this being a very lackluster game. It is not easy for the Denver Broncos when you have a new starting quarterback. In fact, this will be the sixth starting quarterback for the Broncos since Peyton Manning retired.

I think this will come down to if the defense can take advantage of a struggling Browns offense. I fully expect them to in a low scoring affair.
