The Denver Broncos host the Cleveland Browns in week nine. Predominantly Orange staff members pick that game and every other game across the league.

The Denver Broncos suffered another loss last Sunday, falling to the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 15-13. A victory was so close and yet not surprisingly, just out of reach for the Mile High team.

Quarterback Joe Flacco continued to show that he just isn’t the guy to lead this team anywhere. Through seven games, Flacco had the thirteenth-slowest release time at 2.62 seconds. The offensive line is not great, but as a veteran quarterback, Flacco needs to get rid of the ball sooner. The fastest average release time of any quarterback this season is Case Keenum, at 2.72 seconds.

After the loss to Indianapolis, Flacco called out offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello, saying that it’s like the Broncos are afraid. On Monday, word got out that Flacco suffered a herniated disc in his neck and will miss a significant amount of time. Some think that the timing of this is odd, but it really is not.

Getting back to the game, second-year receiver Courtland Sutton showed once again that he is a deep-ball threat. Sutton caught three passes for 72 total yards, with a long of 33.

With Brandon Allen taking over at quarterback, it will be interesting to see what changes in the Denver Broncos offense. Will Denver take more shots down the field? Will the take more chances with their play calling? It really would be funny to see a change like that happen following Flacco’s comments and that Flacco can’t play.

The Cleveland Browns went into the 2019 season with a lot of expectations. In fact, everybody expected them to be playoff contenders. After dropping their last three games, however, things aren’t looking so hot for them anymore.

Baker Mayfield has looked bad. The Browns have been outscored by their opponents 90-56 over their last three games (losses).

Now, they head to Denver in what could potentially be a boring, low-scoring matchup.

Here are Predominantly Orange staff members’ thoughts on the game, followed by our weekly Pick ‘Em.
