DE Adam Gotsis to the Arizona Cardinals

While trading Chris Harris or Derek Wolfe may seem a little bit ‘out there’ the Broncos could very well be preparing to trade Adam Gotsis after making him a healthy scratch the past few weeks.

The defensive line rotation seems to be set at five guys right now. The Broncos have seven on the roster with their recent addition of Jonathan Harris, who plays defensive end.

Gotsis, a former second-round pick who was benched and replaced on gamedays by nose tackle Mike Purcell, has potentially played his last down in Denver.

The Cardinals seem like an obvious fit because their defensive line depth is not good and they are coached by Vance Joseph, and like Joseph or not, his defense seemed to extract the very best out of Gotsis.

Although Gotsis hasn’t been a tremendous pass rusher, he’s proven he can be a nice run-stopping defensive end and it wouldn’t surprise me to see the Cardinals make a play for him.
