Emmanuel’s career day in Pittsburgh

By: Ty Walden

When the Pittsburgh Steelers decided not to bring Sanders back during the 2014 free agency period, it was a blessing in disguise. What went down as one of the most underrated moves John Elway made during the 2014 offseason, the Broncos were able to bring Emmanuel Sanders in after picking up players like Aqib Talib, Demarcus Ware, and T.J. Ward.

Sanders was the key piece that would help the offense with the departure of Eric Decker. His first game against his former team came a year later in bitter cold Pittsburgh. But he played like he was on fire.

Sanders ended up catching ten passes for 181 yards, including a big touchdown that helped put the Broncos in the driver seats for the first half. Denver did not end up winning that game, but getting to see him play fired up live (I was in attendance for this game)  was a great moment.
