Where Potential Denver Broncos Trade Candidates could end up

A few members of the Denver Broncos have been rumored to be on their way out of Denver via trades. Where could they be sent? Shelby Manning and I ponder.

With the trade deadline coming up in just over a week, names of several members of the Denver Broncos have been floating around as candidates to be dealt.

That bothers and hurts many people among Broncos Country, but sadly it is the reality of the situation.

The idea of trading away your star players in an attempt to rebuild frustrates the heck out of me. Why trade away your star players for draft picks that may or may not turn out well?

One of the issues is that some of these players’ contracts are running out and could end up being too costly for the team.

Notable players in the last year of their current contract are:

  • WR Emmanuel Sanders (turns 33-years old and is an unrestricted free agent in 2020)
  • Chris Harris Jr. (Couldn’t agree on long-term deal during 2019 offseason negotiations, got pay raise with no added years)
  • Derek Wolfe (Has missed 16 games in his career)

Other notable players whose contracts run out in 2020 are:

The first three players I mentioned (Sanders, Harris Jr., Wolfe) look to be the most-talked about players that could find themselves on other teams within the next nine days (Trade deadline is Tuesday, October 29).
