Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 215 pounds
Class: Senior

The 6-foot-3, 215 pound cornerback out of Nebraska could be just what the doctor ordered for the Denver Broncos this offseason as the team once again makes a transition at the cornerback position.

There’s a decent chance neither Chris Harris Jr. nor Isaac Yiadom are with this team beyond 2019, and we — at this point — don’t know what we’re getting (if anything) from Bryce Callahan.

Ideally, in this scenario, the Broncos would return De’Vante Bausby, Bryce Callahan, Duke Dawson, and Davontae Harris along with the drafting of a player like Lamar Jackson, but they also may need to sign a veteran in free agency depending on how things go the rest of the way with Dawson and Harris.

It looks like the Broncos have a gem on their hands in Bausby, but we’ll have to see how he looks again coming off injury.

Jackson has been tremendous so far in 2019 with 21 tackles, three tackles for loss, 11 pass breakups, and two interceptions. He’s really elevated his game and seen his NFL Draft stock rise substantially as a result.

That kind of size and length at the cornerback position is rare, but he could be a fit in Vic Fangio’s defense with those kinds of ball skills and his ability to play around the line of scrimmage.
