Broncos’ Offensive Line

There is no sugar coating Thursday night’s performance by the Denver Broncos’ offensive line. It was truly about as bad as it gets, not even factoring in three more holding penalties added to Garett Bolles’ high total on the year.

Joe Flacco was sacked eight times as the Broncos’ offensive line was totally dominated at the line of scrimmage by Kansas City’s front seven.

Flacco’s play is inexcusable, but it’s not as if this offensive line makes matters any easier.

At this point, it’s questionable if it is even wise to let the recovering Drew Lock even play behind this offensive line. It more or less may produce the same result, possibly getting Lock hurt again.

Dalton Risner has proven his worth so far, but guys like Garett Bolles, Ronald Leary, and Elijah Wilkinson have really struggled.

Wilkinson will likely be returning to the bench once Ja’Wuan James is fully healthy, but Leary and Bolles are starters. It may be time for the Broncos to be calling the Redskins to inquire what it would take to acquire Trent Williams.
