The Denver Broncos seemed to get off to a good start. But struggles on the offensive line and questionable calls have them down in a critical game.

Well, it appeared as if the Denver Broncos were ready to go toe-to-toe with the Kansas City Chiefs. They would absolutely need to if they are going to win. It was promising at first, but then it started going downhill.

With the help of some third down penalties on the Chiefs defense, the Denver Broncos were able to move the football down the field and score a touchdown. After a third Chiefs penalty, Vic Fangio decided to go for two and play balls to the wall.

But the conversion failed. And from there was where it became something out of a bad dream. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense were able to match that drive and score a touchdown of their own. They decided to go for the extra point to take the lead.

Denver’s defense kept the Chiefs out of the end zone from there. But horrible offensive line play placed Joe Flacco on the ground five times in this half. One of those sacks ended up with Flacco losing the football and the Chiefs defense was able to return it for a touchdown.

But the biggest news is not on the Broncos side. Reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes injured his knee on a quarterback sneak. He has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

As much as Broncos Country may despise the Chiefs, it is a shame to see a player go down like that. Hopefully the injury is not too serious for Mahomes.

The Chiefs will get the football to start the second half. With Matt Moore under center, can the Denver Broncos take advantage? Only time will tell. Hopefully we will see a second half comeback. Go Broncos!
