The Denver Broncos host the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football this week. Predominantly Orange picks that game and every other Week 7 game.

When we last saw the Denver Broncos on the field, last week against the Tennessee Titans, there was plenty to be excited about.

On defense, there were some nice surprises. Mike Purcell has been active the last couple of weeks in place of former starter Adam Gotsis, who was demoted to third-string behind Purcell and DeMarcus Walker. Walker has shown what he can do on the defensive line and it is magical.

Linebacker Alexander Johnson has been a phenomenal addition to the starting lineup. He led the defense with nine tackles while also recording 1.5 sacks and 1.5 tackles for loss. It is safe to say that the decision by Vic Fangio to replace Josey Jewell with Johnson in the starting lineup was a good move.

On offense, running back Royce Freeman led the Broncos in receptions with five. Wide receiver Courtland Sutton caught four of his eight targets for 76 total yards. His longest reception was of 41 yards.

Rookie tight end Noah Fant caught two of his three targets for 16 yards, including a long of eleven. There was a pass to him in the game that would likely have been caught if it were a better throw. Some say that the sun was in Fant’s view, making the catch nearly impossible.

Brandon McManus kicked three field goals to tack on nine more points for the Broncos on their way to a shutout win.

Now, the Broncos host the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football. Let’s find out who the Predominantly Orange staff has winning that game, as well as the other matchups across the league.
