The Denver Broncos got their second win of the season by defeating the Tennessee Titans in a defensive battle.

It has been a fun couple of weeks if you’re a fan of the Denver Broncos.

After going into Los Angeles and defeating the division rival Chargers, the Denver Broncos defeated the Tennessee Titans at home in what was a defensive battle.

The biggest surprise was that Denver’s defense was able to stuff Titans running back Derrick Henry to the tune of 15 carries for just 28 total yards, a 1.9-yard average.

Denver’s run defense has been stellar the last two weeks, as they held Chargers running back Melvin Gordon to 31 yards on 12 carries last week in addition to dominating Derrick Henry this week.

The star of the show was Broncos defensive lineman DeMarcus Walker, who had three tackle and two key sacks. Tennessee struggled to get anything going on offense, therefore benching starting quarterback Marcus Mariota for Ryan Tannehill.

It was also a phenomenal day for the Broncos secondary, who picked off both of the Titans quarterbacks, including newly-acquired cornerback/safety Kareem Jackson, who sealed the shutout victory with a takeaway with under two minutes remaining in the game.

Denver’s offense was underwhelming, to say the least. Joe Flacco went 18-of-28 for 177 yards and an interception. The pick came after a poorly-thrown ball to rookie tight end Noah Fant.

The Broncos still need to figure out how to put everything together. The offense was only able to score one touchdown against Tennessee. If they are going to be in the mix to win more football games, they are going to have to start converting field goals into touchdowns.

That is especially true for next week’s game, as the Kansas City Chiefs come to town after losing a heartbreaker to the Houston Texans.

It will have to be another hard-fought game against a tough division opponent, who has scored an average of 23.3 points per game to Denver’s 17.6 points per game.
