A.J. Johnson, LB

In the wake of De’Vante Bausby’s terrifying neck injury in the first half, an unsung hero stepped up and showed out.

A.J. Johnson was arguably the team’s MVP on the day, coming away with an interception against Philip Rivers following a Joe Flacco interception, denying the Chargers the opportunity to capitalize on Denver’s turnover.

Johnson would receive another opportunity to create a turnover in the second half but dropped an easy interception.

Although a linebacker, in both situations, Johnson perfectly read routes, which may remind many of Aqib Talib’s skill of perfectly jumping the route.

Johnson stood out on Sunday, and it would be great to see more of him going forward.
