Joe Flacco

Honestly, Joe Flacco has been pretty solid. He has been moving the ball well, not turning it over too much, and putting the team in a position to win, come fourth quarter. He currently has a 90.4 QBR, over 1000 yards passing, and is completing 66.2% of his passes.

I know he isn’t the QB of the future, but staying competitive in all these ballgames is giving Denver’s young players a chance to learn the game and perfect their craft. Flacco has already helped players like Courtland Sutton become reliable receivers at the NFL Level. Having a veteran QB throwing to 1st and 2nd year guys really facilitates their growth.

Against Jacksonville, we got to see a glimpse of the receiver DeaSean Hamilton has the potential to be. Flacco gave him the opportunity to make a couple really nice plays in key situations. So if something happened to Sanders (trade or other), the Broncos would have a great young receiver to take over those extra reps and.

Denver’s rookie tight end Noah Fant has also been playing really well lately while receiving balls from Flacco. He is starting to show that he has the potential to be a solid number TE in this teams future.

No matter Denver’s record, I expect Drew Lock to be playing as soon as he is healthy. But for now, we get to watch a Super Bowl MVP go spend a lot of time
