Courtland Sutton, WR

2019 stats: 22 receptions (33 targets), 309 yards, 2 TDs

Last season, Courtland Sutton caught exactly 50 percent of his targets in the passing game, and it felt like less, honestly.

Sutton proved himself as a big-play threat, but not much else as a rookie, struggling to beat press coverage and struggling to win on routes that weren’t straight down the field.

That has not been the case in 2019.

Sutton looks like a much more complete player at the receiver position, working all areas and levels of the field to lead the Broncos in yards from scrimmage per game.

He’s made signature big plays, but Sutton is also working his way open on quick slants, playing some in the slot, and he just caught two red zone targets for touchdowns against the Jaguars.

This guy is a flat out stud, and the work he’s done along with receivers coach Zach Azzanni is outstanding. I did a video breakdown of his progress after the Green Bay game.
