The Broncos allowed over 200 yards rushing to Jacksonville on Sunday. There clearly needs to be a change and a reunion with Brandon Marshall can help.

Leonard Fournette ran for 225 yards against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. As a team, the Jaguars had 269 yards rushing. It kind of makes you miss how dominate this team used to be regarding their run defense. It is clear that Josey Jewell was missed in Denver on Sunday.

Jewell’s hamstring flared up and he could not play the remainder of the football game. Broncos Country will be keeping a close eye on the status of his hamstring. If he is forced to miss some time, there is one player who currently does not have an NFL team that can help out. I am knocking at the door for the Broncos to bring back Brandon Marshall.

Yes, he had a lot of injuries towards the end of his time in Denver. Perhaps the injuries were what kept him from getting the production that he had in the past. But he claims that he is healthy and is ready to start getting back on the football field.

Next. Malik Reed, Justin Hollins need to step up for Broncos. dark

And the good part is, if the team is unsure how he will do, they can sign him to a reasonable deal for both sides and he can be a player that can spell Josey Jewell when he does end up getting healthier. Todd Davis has shown that he should be starting.

Having Brandon Marshall on the defense can really help a Denver Broncos run game that is one of the worst in the NFL in run defense. The team ranks 29th in the NFL allowing an average of 149.2 yards a game. Seeing that number for a defense makes me sick.

I am not sure how much of a difference it will make, but having an inside linebacker who is known to record 100-plus tackles a season would not be a bad way to go. John Elway, pick up the phone and call Brandon Marshall.
