The Denver Broncos might be living in a world of suck, but Emmanuel Sanders is spreading the positivity with an Instagram post about Phillip Lindsay.

It is always cool when a veteran player acknowledges a rookie or younger player on the field. It is even cooler when it happens off the field. That’s exactly what Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders did regarding second-year running back Phillip Lindsay.

Sanders went to Instagram on Monday and posted a photo of himself and Lindsay. In the caption, He wrote a pretty cool story about an encounter he had with the running back.

In the post, Sanders recalls Lindsay participating in a workout Sanders orchestrated, asking the wide receiver plenty of questions about his work ethic.

Now, Lindsay appears to be aiming for that leadership role. The Broncos are 0-3, but something that cannot be replaced easily is leadership. The Broncos need to stick together during this difficult time in the season an try to turn things around.

This story shows a couple of things. Like I mentioned, it shows that Lindsay wants to become a leader. It also shows that he wants to be the best player that he can be.

Lindsay has been doubted when it comes to football. That is obvious since every team in the league looked past him when it came to the 2018 NFL Draft.

I’m not sure what prompted Sanders to all of a sudden post this on Instagram, but it seems to me like it could be a nice confidence booster for Lindsay. Sanders has been part of some really good teams but also some bad ones.

I think his post is to help Lindsay keep his head up during the bad times.

The Denver Broncos are looking to get their first win of the season. They face the Jacksonville Jaguars and their rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew this Sunday. This could be some great timing for Sanders’ post. Could we see a breakout game by Phillip Lindsay? Let’s hope!
