The Denver Broncos have dropped their first two regular season games to start off the 2019 NFL season. They have looked fairly rough in some areas. In some other areas, they have looked decent but not great.

Joe Flacco is not a bad quarterback. I personally think that he just needs help around him. You cannot succeed if the guys in front of you continue to commit penalties.

The NFL is like a chain reaction. If one thing isn’t working, it’s likely that others won’t work very well. The blocking has been very poor thus far, which means that the run game likely won’t succeed. If the run game doesn’t work, the Broncos will need to pass.

But teams know when something isn’t working and to focus on the other phase.

Denver goes into Green Bay in week three and will have to face the Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. If Denver is unable to get their pass rush going (yet again), this could be a very long day for the Denver Broncos. The return of inside linebacker Todd Davis and cornerback Bryce Callahan should help that phase of the game.

I just don’t know if they will have enough firepower to pull off a win.

Fun Fact: The Denver Broncos are the first team in NFL history to score a 2-point conversion while down by 1 point in the 4th, and still lose.

Fun Fact: The Broncos were leading the game last week with 00 on the clock and still lost.

Denver played much better last week than in week 1. Many positives to be taken away from that game. However, they still managed to lose. Garrett Bolles continues to stall offensive drives, and our execution across all three fazes of the game needs to better.

Until the Broncos are able to consistently score points, and defend a lead, last second calls, fluke plays, and other misfortunes will continue to cost Denver in the win column.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are hot coming off a 2-0 start. I expect them to defend their turf at Lambeau Field and take down the Broncos.

Broncos take on a tough test in Aaron Rodgers and the Packers at Lambeau Field.

While the Broncos offense may bounce back a bit in playing a defense not as stout as the Bears, the defense likely struggles against the Packer’s offense.

Very tough to tell how this game will go. Green Bay has a pretty good defense. It will be important for Denver to get off to a strong start. No more of these rocky starts at the beginning of games.

If Miller and Chubb can make their presence known in this game, it is all in the bag. This will be a defensive game. As much as I’d like to see Denver get the win, I think Green Bay finds a way to get the win. It doesn’t help that Denver has never won in Lambeau.
