The Predominantly Orange staff predicts the matchup between the Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers, and the other week three games.

The Denver Broncos lost their second game of the season on Sunday, falling to the Chicago Bears. It is a game that they should have won.

There is always room for improvement in all phases of the team. On offense, Joe Flacco threw fifty—count ‘em, FIFTY—passes. He completed 35 of them, for 292 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Denver was unable to really get their run game going. They averaged 3.7 yards per carry, and between Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman, gained a total of 90 rushing yards. Not horrible, but again, it’s not ideal to throw fifty passes in a single game and expect to win.

As an NFL team, you’re expected to win regardless of what’s happening around you. Unfortunately, the referees were not helping Denver’s cause.

Bradley Chubb was called for a bogus roughing the passer penalty on Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky. I have not seen anybody say that that call was the right call. You can check it out if you have not seen it.

The referees also seemed to have given the Bears a timeout that should not have happened. With time running out, the Bears somehow called a timeout fast enough for it to count.

Bears kicked a field goal. Game over. It is unfortunate that it came down to that, but it is what it is. Nothing anybody can do now but move forward.

Now, the Denver Broncos go into Green Bay to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. They are underdogs in this game, as well.

What do we think the result will be? Check out our predictions for the game as well as the other week three matchups happening in the NFL.
