Denver Broncos: Fantasy football week two advice
By Tylor Walden
Wide Receiver
Tyler Lockett – He has had some injury concerns throughout the week but as of Friday night, he is a full go. I love Russell Wilson. I love Tyler Lockett in this matchup. Last week was a coming out party of sorts for rookie DK Metcalf. I’m banking on the Seahawks being able to get Russell Wilson out of the pocket and Lockett downfield. If Seattle is gonna keep this close, Lockett is going to have to be involved.
Brandin Cooks – Six catches on eight targets, 114 yards, and a TD. Seven catches on eight targets for 107 yards. Those are the stat lines for Brandin Cooks in the two games these two teams faced off last season (counting the infamous NFC Championship Game). This could always be a Robert Woods or Cooper Kupp game but my money is on Cooks. My portfolio this weekend has tons of exposure to Cooks as a the “bring back” to Alvin Kamara.
Tyrell Williams – Thanks to the pricing coming out on DraftKings before the Monday Night Football game happened, the Raiders skill players are just too cheap in a plus matchup against the Chiefs. Tyrell “the Gazelle” is Derek Carr’s most dangerous weapon in the passing game and they will have to put up some points in this one.
There are other guys you can go to if you want to avoid the chalk but the winning lineups this week could have two Raiders on it.
Amari Cooper – Speaking of Raiders, this former Raider is in line for a big week. The public is going to want to play Zeke after he was on a “pitch count” last week but this is the type of game that the Dallas Cowboys passing game goes off.
After joining Dallas last season, Amari torched the Redskins secondary to the tune of eight catches, 180 yards, and two TDs (on 9 targets). Washington got lit up by the Eagles last week through the air. Dallas could do the same and Cooper will be the biggest beneficiary.
James Washington – This is my “gut” call of the week. People are going to want to play Juju Smith-Schuster. They are going to see Donte Moncrief’s ten targets last week and salivate at that volume. I predict James Washington will get 90+ yards and a TD as Big Ben’s downfield threat.
