Fangio Faces Off Against His Former Team

As we know, this week is likely to be special for new coach Vic Fangio. He will be meeting his former team in the Broncos home opener and hopefully, he is hungry to send them back to Chicago with a loss. However, Fangio is not preparing for this game any differently than he would any other, he says. “It’ll be a little different once I see all those guys in pregame and whatnot, but after they kick it off, it will be another NFL football game.” (per USA Today).

We will not know until Sunday if Fangio’s experience as the Bears defensive coordinator will give him an advantage, or if it will go the other way around. Although Fangio claims he does not see it as a special game, it is only human to get a little jittery when meeting up with your ex. Critics were quick to jump on Fangio on Monday for what seemed to be an unprepared Broncos squad; here’s to hoping he silences them Sunday.

Mitch Trubisky Puts On Worst Performance Of His Career Week 1

While the Bears-Packers game itself was a dud, Trubisky’s performance wasn’t much better, capping the night with a 62.1 passer rating, 228 yards, but 0 TD’s, 1 interception and was sacked five times. Vic Fangio knows Trubisky in and out, which could provide even bigger challenges for the Bears if the Broncos defense were to have their way with Trubisky. It will be interesting to see if Trubisky is able to turn it around in Week 2.
