Captain Munnerlyn, CB

Another available veteran option right now is Captain Munnerlyn, who has played some for the Panthers, Vikings, and Bills.

This past offseason, the Buffalo Bills brought him in and the concern here is that he couldn’t stick on the roster where the guy who coached him in Carolina (Sean McDermott) helped him put together some of his best seasons as a pro.

Still, Munnerlyn had a decent 2018 campaign for Carolina and a bounce-back from a poor 2017 campaign.

He played primarily slot cornerback last season for the Panthers and broke up eight passes while allowing an average QB rating of 85.4.

He’s still capable of helping a defense potentially, and with so few options available in free agency, he’s got to be one of the ones under consideration.
