Eric Berry, S

Eric Berry is still not signed by any NFL team, which to me can only mean that he’s just not healthy.

Still, I want to throw this option out there because it’s worth exploring if Berry is healthy enough to work out for teams or even contribute in games.

Berry was obviously a star player for the Kansas City Chiefs whose injuries limited an otherwise dominant career as a safety in the NFL.

When Berry was at full strength, the Chiefs’ defense felt like it had 12 or 13 guys out there. He sees the field so well, reacts so fast, and makes plays on the ball with ease.

If Berry is healthy, could he play some safety with Jackson rolling down to cornerback?

It’s a fun idea worth exploring for the Broncos. Similar to the shot they took on Jamaal Charles a couple of years ago, Berry would be worth the flier.
